$30bn Q2 for Nvidia

Nvidia’s Q2 revenue was up 15% q-o-q and 122% up y-o-y, at $30 billion. Profit was up 174% at $18.64 billion. For Q3, the company is expecting revenue of $32.5 billion. The shares fell 2.5% giving the company a market cap of $3 trillion.

“Hopper demand remains strong, and the anticipation for Blackwell is incredible,” said CEO Jensen Huang (pictured) , “Nvidia achieved record revenues as global data centres are in full throttle to  modernise the entire computing stack with accelerated computing and generative AI.”

“Blackwell samples are shipping to our partners and customers. Spectrum-X Ethernet for AI and NVIDIA AI Enterprise software are two new product categories achieving significant scale, demonstrating that NVIDIA is a full-stack and data center-scale platform,” added Huang, “across the entire stack and ecosystem, we are helping frontier model makers to consumer internet services, and now enterprises. Generative AI will revolutionise every industry.”
