In reply to Mike Bryant. 50% of drivers are worse than average. This terrifies me. I like driving but would gladly give it up to remove those who shouldn't be driving from behind the wheel.

Unfortunately 90% of those on the road apart from in Germany and Sweden can’t ! But removing the licences of such a major proportion of the populace is beyond any politician’s aspirations.

Mind you, in the horse-drawn days, a personal get-you-home-while-sleeping-it-off assistant was common, so maybe it is just another turn around the same old wheel 🙂
